HOW IS THE DISTRIBUTION MONITORED?

MYSTERY HOUSES

The magazine distribution area is divided into numerous routes with approximately 400—600 homes in each.  A route is managed by the same local distributor many who have been  distributing for Mailbox Media for 2 years.  To help monitor the delivery accuracy each route has a number of registered mystery houses.  The mystery houses are unknown to the distributor.  They report in by phone, email or text when their magazine has been delivered.  This has been a very effective method of quality control.

“SPOT THE SYMBOL” COMPETITION

Each issue includes a “Spot the Symbol” competition where the reader must find the magazine logo/symbol hidden within an advertiser. To enter they submit their full contact details and date they received the magazine.  Like the mystery house, the entries indicate exactly where and when the magazines were delivered to and highlight discrepancies.
